Neues von der Microlearning Konferenz

Die jährliche Microlearning Konferenz hat letzte Woche in Innsbruck zum Thema “Microlearning und Capacity Building” stattgefunden.

Eine Zusammenstellung von Links, Videos, Bookmarks, Feeds, Blogs findet man bei 7 Days and More bzw. im Microlearning2008 News Reader, wofür man ein bißchen mehr Zeit mitbringen muss. Die Lessons Learnt von Joachim Niemeier lesen sich dagegen schnell und spannend: “Web 2.0 has evolved from user generated content and collective intelligence to new forms of cooperation enabling and capacity building (eg. upgrading of performance abilities).”

Was bedeutet Capacity Building in diesem Zusammenhang?

Capacity building is defined as the “process of developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that organizations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive in the fast-changing world.” (Quelle)

Unternehmen dürften sofort verstehen, wenn es um die Entwicklung von Fähigkeiten und Fertigkeiten von Menschen im Zusammenhang mit organisatorischer Effektivität und Zielerreichung geht.

Aber wie kann Microlearning dabei unterstützen bzw. welche Konzepte werden hier vorgeschlagen? Sobald die Vorträge, Beiträge verfügbar sind, werden wir uns diese danach anschauen.

Auf den ersten Blick sind mir die 7 Elemente zur Auffindbarkeit (Findability) von Lernressourcen in einem Netzwerk aus der interaktiven Präsentation von Judy Breck aufgefallen. Dabei geht es darum,

  • Lerninhalte online zu bringen,
  • Netzwerkfunktionen nutzbar zu machen, um Lerninhalte zu finden z.B. für Suchmaschinen und
  • Lerninhalte für weitere Millionen von Menschen im Netz auffindbar zu machen.

Ein wichtiger Aspekt zum Thema Information Overload und “wie finde ich überhaupt relevante Inhalte im Netz”. Konzepte hierfür sind sicher zielführend und werden von uns weiter verfolgt.

    “The node junction between web assets is the most important component of online learning.

    As education now roars down the road into the dynamic cloud of open content, the proprietary aspects of learning can and likely will continue as underground enterprises. There will be confidential archives, some tutoring inside walled gardens, subscriptions journals (alas!), and distance learning for hire. Surely, there are aspects of education that should and always will remain private.

    Nonetheless, the vast new open network that cloud computing is billowing up makes the open-one-web a stunning opportunity to deliver and optimize open knowledge to billions of people. The new generations will visit the cloud through their mobiles. The optimization will be done at the micro level of the content – which is why at the node junction lies the most important opportunity to give juice and trust to educational enlightenment.”
